Happy new year to you all, I hope it's a crafty one for you.
We welcomed in the new year in the studio with our "start to sew" workshop. It was great to be back in the studio getting creative with our machines after the Christmas break.
We have lots of new and exciting workshops in the pipeline this year for you, let me know what you think.
First out of the blocks is our Queen of Hearts cushion panel.
Quilting is so enjoyable and the contemporary heart styling means that you can go off piste and get artistic. Why not re-use fabrics that mean something to you or the recipient for an extra special make. We provide the batting and the cushion pad to really finish off your creation.
We have introduced a deposit ticket to our bookings this year which means you can have the security of booking your place and paying the balance on the day which people have said they like.
Another new workshop is the wonderful book cushion workshop, a great gift for children and adults alike to keep your book ect in, to take to a quiet spot to relax.
You bring you chosen fabric, but as a special touch you can add a saying or name using our lettering hvt machine at the workshop and of course a pad too. Just add the book for that special person.
Something a little different from our textile crafts is the polymer clay jewellery workshop.
Learn how to manipulate the clay and blend colours to create something unique. This is very relaxing as it makes you pause, slow down and relax.
NB: Although the info boxes say "register" please feel free to click and read more information on the event, no need to register until you want to. Not everyone can make these dates but please remember that we offer craft get togethers so if you and a couple of friends want to do a workshop on a different date or have a birthday to celebrate all things crafty we can arrange a bespoke session to suit you.
The shop also stocks lots of crafty loveliness for you to get creative with, we add new stock through the season. As we have a special ceremony this year we thought we would feature our union cushion pattern. Our patterns are great for the download and sew. Once printed you then have the pattern to re-use too. We are building on our pattern range as we go.
We plan to visit different craft fairs this year too so if you see us please come and say hi. For any advice or queries just drop us a line.
Enjoy a spring of being creative.
Sandra
